Abstract

|
In recent years, persons interested in a new field, CAM (Complementary and Alternative Medicine), are increasing in Korea. The fact that several universities have established a curriculum for CAM since 2004 shows the increase of concern about CAM. Here, we examined the possible roles that stress-specialists may play in the education, research, and clinical activities in CAM by analysing the characteristics of CAM, curriculum in the field of mind-body medicine of CAM, and various mind-body therapies. In addition, the conditions that stress-specialists have to meet in order to contribute to CAM were discussed.
